Project definition
Silk Road Enterprise in this initial stage gets to know you and your business or company. We perform a thorough interview and assessment with your team or the person assigned to your online presence.
What are you looking to accomplish with your website and what are your needs and goals? What are your limitations? How can we work around those limitations? What are your Internet marketing requirements? How does your market function? These are the kinds of questions we ask in shortened form to effectively create timeline for a web design, online marketing strategy, or anything else that your business or company might need.
Website Structure
After our initial interview and discussion, a usability analysis and sitemap is completed at this stage and approved by the client. The usability report or information architecture is like a blueprint for the website which will clarify how the site will flow. The sitemap is the brief structure and layout of the site. Both the information architecture and the sitemap will help with SEO and your future content development.
Design
Silk Road Enterprise will build an artful and custom design based on your specific usability study, custom sitemap, your marketing needs, and much more. We will closely work with you to construct a design layout with graphics that communicates your message, site navigation that’s intuitive, and information architecture that’s ready for expansion. Planning and designing a website needs to be as clear, defined and documented as possible in order to save you costs in unnecessary development that stem from changes that may occur from poor planning, rushed design, and/or other common web development mistakes.
Development
This is the moment where our designs are handed to the developer, so that the website can be coded from the documents and designs and turned into CSS, Javascript, Flash and HTML. When Silk Road Enterprise is in web development, everything is built and coded with Internet Marketing in mind. We make sure buttons are intuitively active, links look like links, and components or functions work aesthetically and clearly. All of this so the end user, your potential customers and clients, never gets lost while traversing the website.
Test and Refine
Lastly, at this stage, the website will be live but password protected for testing purposes, so that together with your input, we can fine tune the site for maximum ease of use with a look and feel that goes beyond your satisfaction.
Once testing is over and the prototype skeleton site is approved, Silk Road Enterprise moves onto the content population, where we edit your images, graphics, text, video and whatever else may populate your site. Testing continues at this stage to make sure everything gels together to create a clean, cohesive, intuitive look and feel. Lastly, we hand the site over to our Internet Marketing experts and they target the site with your products/services keywords.
Launch
After all the content is placed onto the website and the site is tested thoroughly once again with the new images, text, video, products, etc., Silk Road Enterprise will take the site live by placing it onto it’s final domain name, on a chosen host. This of course isn’t the end, but rather a new beginning, as from here on, Silk Road Enterprise will be your partner in support.
